Meet the Authors
Q&A:
When can readers expect your next book?
You can expect our next book as soon as we get it edited and ready to go! We’ll definitely keep you posted when it’s almost time, so make sure you’re signed up for our newsletter and following us on social media—you won’t miss a thing!
What’s something your readers might be surprised to learn?
The Hidden Secrets series is already fully drafted! We actually started writing it back in 2009 (yup, middle school days), so all seven books are written. But let’s be honest, those early drafts were pretty rough, which means we’ve been doing a lot of rewriting. We’re always learning and growing as writers, so there’s constantly something we want to tweak or improve.
Do you find writing difficult?
On the wrong day, we can stare at the screen forever trying to string 100 words together, or debate a character arc for hours. But then there are the good days, when the words just flow and everything clicks...plot holes get fixed, slow spots speed up, and it all starts to come together. Those are the best days!
Is action/mystery your favorite genre to write—and to read?
Action/mystery is definitely our favorite genre to write! We’ve dabbled with a few others, but nothing beats crafting a twisty plot, choreographing fight scenes, and building layered backstories for heroes (and villains).

When it comes to reading, Jerilyn sticks pretty closely to action and mystery—it’s her go-to. Jenette’s a bit more of a genre-hopper and will read pretty much anything with a good storyline, but she especially loves romance, historical fiction, and, of course, mystery.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to write a book?
Keep writing and keep reading! Publishing a book had always been a dream of ours, but it only happened because we sat down and actually wrote it. Life doesn’t slow down, and there’s never a “perfect” time to write, so write whenever and wherever you can. And don’t underestimate the power of reading! The more you read, the more you pick up on different styles and voices. No two authors write the same, so it’s crucial to appreciate differences and learn how to cultivate your own style.
